Mission

Our mission is to advance engineering graphics education for students pursuing studies in engineering, technology, architecture, design, and management programs at Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST). This entails analyzing and refining the content and methodologies utilized in engineering graphics training across educational institutions in Mongolia. Furthermore, we strive to localize and enhance Mongolian technical drawing standards while fostering the concentration of skills and human resources in this critical field.

Faculty & Staff

The Department of Engineering Cartography, established by Order No. 409 of the Dean of National University of Mongolia (NUM) on October 29, 1965, is responsible for overseeing the content and methodology of engineering cartography education across member schools of SHUTIS. Comprising a total of 17 professors, our faculty is dedicated to conducting training, research, community outreach, and student service activities. Among our faculty, there are 2 Ph.D. holders, 10 senior teachers, and 5 instructors forming the core staff. Equipped with two computer laboratories, each accommodating 30 seats, alongside practical and lecture classrooms, our department is well-equipped to provide comprehensive education. Currently, Senior Lecturer, Ch. Myagmarjav, leads the department as the head.

Research Focus

The department's faculty members engage in research across various fields, including:

• Utilizing natural cold in the drying process.
• Developing processes for separating Omega 3 from horse fat.
• Educational assessment methodologies.
• Methodological considerations for enhancing students' spatial imagination.
• Analysis of traffic accidents and methodologies for determining vehicle speeds.
• Development of active learning methods in online environments.
• Research into digital education.

Assessing the impact of toxic substances emitted by motor vehicles on the external environment.
